Why are 67 points required to immigrate to Canada?
The minimum criteria of 67 points must be met by applicants who seek to get Permanent Immigration or Citizenship in Canada through the Express Entry process.
In order to qualify, you must receive at least 67 out of a possible 100.
The 100-point approach enables the IRCC to identify applicants who can support their economy and satisfy particular standards for skilled labour and knowledge.
The application enables you to create an online profile known as the Express Entry Profile where you may enter your personal information. The same will be used to evaluate you.
The six main elements that determine your score
The Federal Skilled Workers Program uses a 6-factor selection to determine your point total and determine if you meet the requirements to become a Permanent Resident. These are the elements:
People are required to be least 18 years old to participate, however those between the ages of 18 and 35 receive 12 points.
Your grade will be below than 12 if you are over the age of 35. Thus, early in your career, it is advisable to engage in immigration and citizenship decisions.
English and French are the country’s two official languages.
Your first official language ability will be worth up to 24 points, and your second official language ability will be worth up to 4 points.

Candidates with a year or more of full-time employment experience are chosen.
Your CRS score is also influenced by your partner, who may be your spouse or common-law partner. You can receive a maximum of ten points from them.
Among the following requirements is met:
- If you currently have a job in a Canadian territory that is exempt from LMIA and is covered by a territorial or provincial agreement.
- If you are currently employed in a high skilled worker profession and have a permission based on the Employment Market Impact Assessment.
- If you have a valid open work permit or another type of permit that allows you to work in Canada.
